The Bike Shop in Brevig Mission repairs bicycles for younger children. This year, a team of 8 to 10th graders wrote their own grant for bike parts, got the grant, placed the order, interviewed and hired other students to work the shop etc. |

Facing Foster Care in Alaska, Statewide |
Facing Foster Care in Alaska (FFCA) is a group of current foster youth and alumni that has formed to make improvements to the foster care system in Alaska. FFCA launched the FosterWear campaign to help provide clothing for foster children and youth in need, hosted a legislative summit on foster care in Juneau in front of the Senate HSS Committee and created a mentorship program for older youth in foster care. |
